Here’s what I’m working on now. Sometimes you feel that a painting is just not exactly right but you don’t know how to fix it…so you just have to set it aside. With the painting above, I had felt it was too stripped down and not that interesting, but wasn’t sure what to do. I let it be for two years! This week I pulled it out and knew it desperately needed a little color and a little more definition. I had taken the photo that inspired this from the monorail in Seattle. It passes over many parking lots and I liked the geometry of them and the cars’ shapes. Here’s before (above) and after (below)…what do you think?
